En vue de promouvoir l'entrepreneuriat agricole et de stimuler l'engagement communautaire, l'UM6P a récemment rejoint un consortium d'universités africaines et européennes autour du projet AgriEngage.
AgriEngage est un projet de trois ans qui a pour ambition de renforcer la capacité des établissements d'enseignement supérieur à proposer des programmes de formation liés à l’entrepreneuriat agricole et à l'engagement communautaire en Afrique de l'Est, de l'Ouest et du Nord. Ces programmes sont alignés avec l'évolution des besoins du marché du travail et sont en mesure de stimuler la transformation de l'agriculture africaine. Les objectifs spécifiques du projet sont les suivants :
· Développer des programmes de formation actualisés sur l'entreprenariat agricole et l'engagement communautaire dans les établissements d'enseignement supérieur ;
· Améliorer les compétences d'enseignement du personnel universitaire ;
· Développer les compétences des étudiants en licence et en master en matière d'agro-entreprenariat, de création d’entreprises de services agricoles et d'engagement communautaire
· Renforcer les collaborations entre les établissements d'enseignement supérieur et l'industrie.
Le consortium du projet comprend 11 institutions de 6 pays africains et européens :
· Bénin : L’Université d'Abomey Calavi et L’Université Nationale d'Agriculture
· Danemark : L’Université de Copenhague
· Italie : L’Université de Pavie
· Kenya : L’Université d'Egerton et L’Université de Pwani
· Maroc : L’Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique et L’Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II (IAV)
· Ouganda : L’Université de Gulu, L’Université des Martyrs d'Ouganda et Le Forum des Universités Régionales pour le Renforcement des Capacités en Agriculture (RUFORUM)
À l'Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique, le projet AgriEngage est porté par le Laboratoire d'Innovation et d'Entrepreneuriat (I&E Lab) et l'École d'Agriculture de Fertilisation et des Sciences de l'Environnement (ESAFE).
In order to promote agri-entrepreneurship and stimulate community engagement, UM6P has recently joined a consortium of African and European universities around the AgriEngage project.
AgriEngage is a 3-year project that aims to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions to deliver training programmes in agri-entrepreneurship and community engagement in East, West and North Africa. These programmes are in line with the changing needs of the labour market and capable of stimulating the African agricultural transformation. The specific objectives of the project are:
- To develop updated training programmes on agri-entrepreneurship and community engagement in higher education institutions ;
- To improve the teaching skills of university staff;
- To develop the skills of undergraduate and graduate students in agri-entrepreneurship, agribusiness services development and community engagement;
- To strengthen the collaborations between higher education institutions and the industry.
