La Sustainability Week 2026 est un événement dynamique de trois jours organisé annuellement pour célébrer la Journée mondiale de la Terre Mère le 22 avril. Cette semaine spéciale est dédiée à la sensibilisation aux défis environnementaux et à l'encouragement de la communauté UM6P à participer activement au développement durable. À travers un riche mélange de partage de connaissances, d'ateliers interactifs et d'expression artistique, l'événement favorise l'apprentissage expérientiel et la collaboration entre diverses parties prenantes.
Objectifs :
Sustainability Week 2026 is a dynamic three-day event held annually to honor World Mother Earth Day on April 22. This special week is dedicated to raising awareness about environmental challenges and inspiring the UM6P community to actively participate in sustainable development. Through a rich blend of knowledge sharing, interactive workshops, and artistic expression, the event fosters experiential learning and collaboration among diverse stakeholders.;

Mr. Khalid BADDOU
Chief Institutional Affairs Officer

Mr. Baddou is Chief Institutional Officer at UM6P, Morocco, leading strategic initiatives linking academia, innovation, and entrepreneurship across Africa. He previously held senior roles at Nestlé, Merck, and Western Union in the Maghreb, Middle East, and Africa. Baddou is also founder of Bridge Africa and Chairperson of the International Campus of Excellence, connecting global leaders, Nobel laureates, and former heads of state.
Dr. Fadwa BALADI
Head of Sustainable Development Office
Dr. Fadwa Baladi joined University Mohammed VI Polytechnic in 2016 after completing a PhD in Physics and gaining experience in research and innovation consulting. Since 2019, she has led the Sustainable Development Office, driving the integration of ESG principles across the University’s strategy and operations. She has played a key role in structuring UM6P’s sustainability approach through initiatives such as carbon footprint assessments, awareness programs, and governance frameworks. Her work has strengthened UM6P’s international recognition, including STARS accreditation and recognition as a Climate Champion (YOUNGO, UN-COY16), while aligning with global standards such as LEED O+M certifications, THE Impact Rankings, the Green Gown Awards, and the development of ESG-aligned funding proposals.

Pr.Lamiae AZIZI
Associate Professor & Director of the AI-ARC
Pr. Azizi is an expert in industrial AI and DeepTech. She holds a Ph.D. from Joseph Fourier University and INRIA-Grenoble and has held leadership roles at Cambridge and Sydney universities, as well as Chief Scientific Officer at Nablas AI. Her research, recognized internationally, has led to startups and AI innovations across sectors from mining to medicine. She also co-chaired the U7+ Alliance Workforce Task on Global and Inclusive AI.

Professor - Ethics applied to AI
Mohammed First University of Oujda
Pr. Belouali is a Professor of Higher Education specializing in applied AI ethics, Saida Belouali leads research on the ethical implications of AI in Morocco, co-directs the Maison de l’Intelligence Artificielle at Université Mohammed Ier, and contributes to UNESCO initiatives and the journal Éthique et Numérique.

Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training
Mr. Cherkaoui is Director of the Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training and Coordinator of the Mohammed VI Prize for Climate and Sustainable Development. He is Deputy Chair of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law and Lead Counsel for Climate Change at the Center for International Sustainable Development Law. Ayman is also an Obama Foundation Africa Leader and mentor for the UNDP/UNFCCC Youth for Climate Program.

Dr. El Fatimy received his PhD from the EcoleNormaleSupérieure / University Paris VI, France and completed his postdoctoral training at Laval University (Canada) and Harvard Medical School (USA). Dr. ElFatimy is currently Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School. Actual research of Dr. El Fatimy focuseson non-coding RNA that mediate expression networks underlying human central nervous system and braindisorders. He is interested in developing basic microRNA research toward a cure for human brain disorders suchAlzheimer and Brain Cancer.
Pr. Mustapha EL BOUHSSINI

Dr. El Bouhssini is a full professor of entomology and leader of the AgroBioscience Program at UM6P and Associate Dean for Research at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. His research focuses on Integrated Pest Management for cereals, legumes, date palms, and cacti, with impact across West and Central Asia and North Africa. He has received multiple awards, including the Grand Prix Hasan II (2021) and the Lifetime Achievement Award in Plant Resistance to Insects (2018).
Pr. Mohamed Chaker NECIBI
Associate Professor
Pr. Necibi is Associate Professor in Circular Economy in Water Treatment and Desalination at IWRI, Lead of the Water Engineering Division at ACER, and Coordinator of the Strategic Research Initiative on Water at UM6P. His research focuses on sustainable water treatment, reuse, and solar desalination in Morocco and Africa. He has published 85+ articles, three books, and is listed among the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University.

Computer engineer turned media and event producer, Nabil Hamdaoui brings over 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He co-founded Acridia to transform expertise in locust breeding into scalable solutions for food security and sustainable protein production, while hosting the podcast Nota Bene Ou Binek.

Salma Gherraby turns complexity into clarity, ideas into impact, and potential into measurable results. With 15+ years building AI ecosystems across Africa and beyond - as Founder and CEO of DEVSTRATECH, Initiator of WAI Labs Morocco, TechWomen 2019 Emerging Leader, TEDx Speaker, Imagine Cup Champion, contributor to UNESCO's AI Africa Vision 2050, and AI expert for Expertise France's FMIA Mediterranean Forum - she has delivered transformation for organizations ranging from Autoroutes du Maroc and Tractafric to international institutions and academic bodies across three continents.
