Le 16 octobre, dans le cadre de l’initiative #UM6P_ENGAGED, l’Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique a rejoint le mouvement mondial pour célébrer la 45e édition de la Journée mondiale de l’alimentation, en collaboration avec l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture (FAO). L’événement visait à sensibiliser aux défis mondiaux liés à la faim, la malnutrition et la sécurité alimentaire.
Placée sous le thème « Main dans la main pour une meilleure alimentation et un meilleur avenir », cette édition a souligné les liens entre production alimentaire, résilience environnementale et santé publique.
Pour marquer l’occasion, les campus UM6P de Benguerir, Rabat et Laâyoune ont été illuminés en bleu, symbolisant l’engagement de l’Université envers des systèmes alimentaires sûrs, nutritifs et durables.
Grâce à la recherche, l’innovation et la collaboration intersectorielle, l’UM6P contribue à construire des systèmes alimentaires durables et inclusifs, à promouvoir des pratiques agricoles responsables et à soutenir les efforts en faveur de la sécurité alimentaire mondiale.
On October 16, as part of the #UM6P_ENGAGED initiative, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) joined the global movement to celebrate the 45th World Food Day, in collaboration with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The event aimed to raise awareness of global challenges related to hunger, malnutrition, and food security.
Held under the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Food and a Better Future”, this edition highlighted the connections between food production, environmental resilience, and public health.
To mark the occasion, UM6P campuses in Benguerir, Rabat, and Laâyoune were illuminated in blue, symbolizing the University’s commitment to safe, nutritious, and sustainable food systems.
Through research, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration, UM6P contributes to building sustainable and inclusive food systems, promoting responsible agricultural practices, and supporting global food security efforts.
