Le 23 juillet, Al Moutmir a célébré la première récolte de quinoa sur une plateforme de démonstration dans la province de Larache.
Dans le cadre d’un programme triennal porté par l’OCP, destiné à promouvoir le quinoa comme culture résiliente au climat, plus de 100 plateformes ont été installées dans 12 provinces. Issues de recherches menées à l’UM6P, ces expérimentations combinent production de semences, appui technique et études génotype‑milieu. Les premiers rendements sont prometteurs et suscitent l’intérêt grandissant des agriculteurs.
On the 23rd of July, Al Moutmir marked the first quinoa harvest on a demonstration platform in the province of Larache.
The activity is part of a three-year program led by OCP to promote quinoa as a climate-resilient crop. Initiated through laboratory research at UM6P, the program aims to transfer knowledge to farmers through demonstration platforms and integrated production methods adapted to climate variability.
More than 100 platforms were deployed across 12 provinces, combining seed production, technical support, and genotype-environment interaction research. The first results show promising yields and increasing farmer interest in quinoa as an adaptive strategy for future climatic conditions.
