Le 18 mai, le Sustainable Development Office, à travers son programme Green Schools, en collaboration avec le Agricultural Innovation and Technology Transfer Center (AITTC), a organisé un atelier de plantation d’arbres à l’école primaire de Bouchane, animé par un Sustainable Development Maker.
La session a réuni 20 étudiants et visait à promouvoir la sensibilisation environnementale et l’engagement communautaire à travers une action concrète de développement durable. Les participants ont pris part à une activité de plantation au cours de laquelle 200 plantes médicinales et aromatiques ont été mises en terre sur site, contribuant ainsi à l’amélioration de la biodiversité locale et à la création d’environnements scolaires plus verts.
À travers cette initiative, les étudiants ont renforcé leur lien avec la nature tout en étant initiés à des pratiques durables concrètes au niveau communautaire. En combinant éducation environnementale et action sur le terrain, l’atelier a permis aux participants de contribuer activement à la préservation des écosystèmes et aux efforts plus larges de développement durable.

On May 18th, the Sustainable Development Office, through its Green Schools Program, in collaboration with the Agricultural Innovation and Technology Transfer Center (AITTC), organized a tree-planting workshop at Bouchane Primary School, facilitated by a Sustainable Development Maker.
The session brought together 20 students and aimed to promote environmental awareness and community engagement through hands-on sustainability action. Participants took part in a planting activity during which 200 medicinal and aromatic plants were planted on site, contributing to the enhancement of local biodiversity and the creation of greener school environments.
Through this initiative, students strengthened their connection with nature while being introduced to practical sustainable practices at the community level. By combining environmental education with field-based action, the workshop enabled participants to actively contribute to ecosystem preservation and broader sustainable development efforts.
