Le 21 avril, le Sustainable Development Office, en collaboration avec ses partenaires, a donné le coup d’envoi de la deuxième édition de la Sustainability Week avec une première journée dynamique et riche en échanges. Cette journée inaugurale a rassemblé des intervenants aux profils variés autour de la thématique de l’intelligence artificielle et de la durabilité.
Le programme a été marqué par deux panels interactifs qui ont suscité des discussions approfondies. Le premier, « IA & Durabilité : opportunités et défis », a exploré le potentiel de l’intelligence artificielle pour répondre aux enjeux environnementaux et sociétaux, tout en mettant en lumière les risques et les questions éthiques associés. Le second panel, « Durabilité & IA : perspectives académiques et entrepreneuriales », soutenu par The Forge, a permis de croiser les regards du monde académique et de l’entrepreneuriat, en mettant en avant le rôle complémentaire de la recherche et de l’innovation dans la transition durable.
La journée s’est poursuivie avec un atelier animé par Women in AI Morocco, intitulé « Les femmes à l’intersection de l’IA et de la durabilité ». Cet espace a mis en avant le rôle essentiel des femmes dans le développement de solutions d’intelligence artificielle inclusives, responsables et à fort impact.
En parallèle, le Marché Solidaire a apporté une dimension sociale et communautaire à l’événement, en valorisant des initiatives locales et des projets à impact, renforçant ainsi l’aspect humain et collectif de la durabilité.
La journée s’est conclue par un cercle de lecture organisé par Culture.ED, offrant un moment de réflexion et d’échange autour des récits, des idées et des perspectives liés à la durabilité. Ce format intimiste a encouragé les participants à prendre du recul et à explorer ensemble le rôle du savoir et du storytelling dans la construction de nouvelles visions durables.
Cette première journée a ainsi posé les bases d’une semaine riche et inspirante, en réunissant panels, ateliers et espaces de dialogue autour d’un objectif commun : mobiliser l’intelligence artificielle au service d’un avenir plus durable.

The day featured two engaging panel discussions that sparked insightful conversations and meaningful exchanges. The program continued with a workshop led by Women in AI Morocco, titled “Women at the Intersection of AI & Sustainability.” This session created a dedicated space to highlight the essential role of women in shaping inclusive, responsible, and impact-driven AI solutions for a more sustainable future.
In parallel, the Solidarity Market added a community-focused dimension to the day by showcasing local initiatives and social impact projects. This space emphasized the human and collective aspects of sustainability, fostering engagement beyond academic and technological discussions.
The day concluded with a Reading Circle organized by Culture.ED, offering participants a reflective setting to engage with sustainability narratives, ideas, and perspectives. This intimate format encouraged deeper dialogue and critical thinking around how knowledge and storytelling can influence sustainable mindsets.
Overall, the first day set a strong and inspiring tone for the week, bringing together panels, workshops, and interactive spaces that collectively contribute to a shared ambition: leveraging artificial intelligence to build a more sustainable future.
