L’Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P) a été Highly Commended dans la catégorie « Sustainability Institution of the Year » lors des International Green Gown Awards 2026, organisés par l’Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC).
Cette année, environ 60 établissements ont été présélectionnés à l’échelle mondiale, parmi plus de 30 pays, couvrant les 6 continents habités. L’UM6P est la seule université d’Afrique du Nord à avoir obtenu la distinction « Highly Commended », ainsi que la seule institution africaine à avoir reçu cette distinction dans la catégorie « Sustainability Institution of the Year ».
Par ailleurs, l’UM6P a été nommée Finaliste à l’échelle internationale dans 5 des 8 catégories :
- 2030 Climate Action : Décarbonation de la ferme expérimentale de l’UM6P
- Nature Positive : Campus Nature Positive
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Sustainability : Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program à l’UM6P
- Next Generation Learning and Skills : Formation exécutive en développement durable
- Student Engagement : Sustainable Development Makers Program
Ces distinctions témoignent de l’engagement continu de l’UM6P en faveur du développement durable et de sa volonté de générer un impact positif au Maroc, en Afrique et au-delà.
University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) has been Highly Commended in the “Sustainability Institution of the Year” category at the 2026 International Green Gown Awards, delivered by the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC).
In this year’s round, approximately 60 institutions were shortlisted worldwide from over 30 countries, spanning all 6 inhabited continents. UM6P is the only North African university to have earned the “Highly Commended” distinction, and the only African institution to receive this distinction in the Sustainability Institution of the Year category.
In addition, UM6P has been named a Finalist internationally in 5 out of 8 categories:

- Nature Positive: Nature Positive Campus
