Les 12 et 13 mai, l’Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique a pris part à l’Africa CEO Forum à Abidjan, qui a réuni plus de 2 000 décideurs politiques, investisseurs et chefs d’entreprise africains et internationaux, autour du thème : « Un nouveau pacte public-privé peut-il transformer l’avenir du continent ? ».
Le président Hicham El Habti est intervenu lors de la table ronde « Une main-d'œuvre pour la croissance digitale et industrielle : tirer parti de l’investissement dans les talents », soulignant le rôle clé des universités pour réduire l’écart entre excellence académique et compétences adaptées au marché, et pour permettre à la jeunesse africaine de mener la transformation du continent.
M. Khalid Baddou, Chef de Cabinet et Directeur des Affaires Institutionnelles, a participé au panel « Des gouvernements africains pilotés par l’IA : vision d’avenir ou illusion ? », insistant sur l’importance pour l’Afrique d’investir dans ses propres capacités. Il a présenté des cas concrets d’applications de l’IA capables de renforcer la confiance du public, de faire comprendre les bénéfices de la technologie et de gérer ses risques.
La participation de l’UM6P a renforcé sa position en tant qu’acteur de premier plan du développement des talents, de la transformation digitale et de la gouvernance par l’IA pour un avenir durable du continent africain.

President Hicham El Habti joined the roundtable “A workforce for digital and industrial growth: Realising ROI in talent development”, where he emphasized the role of universities in closing the gap between academic excellence and market-relevant skills, empowering Africa’s youth to lead the continent’s transformation.
Mr. Khalid Baddou, Chief of Staff and Director of Institutional Affairs, contributed to the panel “AI-powered African governments: A future vision or a pipe dream?”, stressing the need for Africa to invest in its own capabilities. He showcased practical AI applications that can help governments build public trust, understand the benefits of the technology, and manage associated risks.
UM6P’s participation reinforced its positioning as a university at the forefront of talent development, digital transformation, and AI-powered governance for a sustainable African future.
