Le 12 avril, le coup d'envoi officiel du Youth Tech Challenge Africa (YTCA) 2025 a eu lieu à l'Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique sur son campus de Benguérir, marquant le lancement de cette édition sous le thème « Réinventer la ville africaine ».
L'événement d'ouverture a rassemblé étudiants, mentors et organisateurs pour une journée complète de présentations, de formation d'équipes et de découverte de projets. Au programme : un aperçu de la structure du concours, l'annonce des projets sélectionnés et la constitution d'équipes pluridisciplinaires. Un temps fort de la journée a été la conférence thématique sur « IoT & Architecture » animée par l'école SAP+D de l'UM6P, suscitant un dialogue enrichissant à l'intersection de la technologie et du design urbain.
On the 12th of April, the official kick-off of Youth Tech Challenge Africa (YTCA) 2025 took place at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic at its Campus in Benguerir, marking the launch of this year’s edition under the theme "Reimagining the African City."
The opening event brought together students, mentors, and organizers for a full day of presentations, team formation, and project discovery. The agenda included an overview of the competition’s structure, the announcement of selected projects, and the formation of multidisciplinary teams. A highlight of the day was a thematic conference on “IoT & Architecture” led by UM6P’s SAP+D School, which sparked meaningful dialogue at the intersection of technology and urban design.
