Programme Massarates :
Dans le cadre de son engagement à soutenir les priorités nationales de développement au niveau territorial, l’Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P) a officiellement lancé le programme Massarates Rhamna le 2 mai 2024.
Développé en collaboration avec la Province de Rhamna, l’Office de la Formation Professionnelle et de la Promotion du Travail (OFPPT), la Fondation Ibn Rochd (FIRSI) et l’Initiative Nationale pour le Développement Humain (INDH) – le cadre phare du Maroc pour la lutte contre la pauvreté et l’exclusion sociale –, ce programme, structuré autour de trois piliers : développement des compétences, entrepreneuriat et accompagnement des coopératives, reflète un effort commun pour traduire les objectifs de politique nationale en actions locales et renforcer les moyens de subsistance ainsi que l’inclusion économique dans la région de Rehamna, où l’UM6P est implantée.

Participation de l’UM6P à l’élaboration de politiques pour mettre fin à la pauvreté au niveau régional

Initiative UM6P Rebuild
L’UM6P contribue activement à l’élaboration de politiques et à la mise en œuvre de programmes pour lutter contre la pauvreté à travers son initiative Rebuild, un catalyseur d’innovation et de collaboration qui réunit étudiants, personnel, partenaires et institutions autour de l’objectif commun de reconstruire durablement la région d’Al Haouz, où se situe l’université.
En coordination étroite avec les autorités gouvernementales, l’UM6P mobilise sa recherche et son expertise dans plusieurs disciplines, telles que l’architecture, l’agriculture, l’eau, l’énergie verte et le développement socio-économique, pour orienter les politiques de reconstruction et concevoir des solutions pratiques et résilientes pour les communautés affectées. Grâce à cette approche collaborative et fondée sur la recherche, plus de 60 initiatives ont été mises en œuvre dans 150 villages, touchant plus de 90 000 bénéficiaires et mobilisant 400 étudiants et 35 laboratoires de recherche. En alignant l’innovation académique sur les besoins des communautés, l’initiative Rebuild illustre comment les universités peuvent jouer un rôle central dans l’élaboration de politiques régionales inclusives visant à réduire la pauvreté et à promouvoir un développement durable.

Politiques contre la pauvreté sous toutes ses formes – l’IPM au Maroc :
Le 4 juillet 2024, l’Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS) au sein de la Faculté de Gouvernance, Économie et Sciences Sociales (FGSES) de l’UM6P, en collaboration avec l’Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), a organisé un panel sur les politiques contre la pauvreté sous toutes ses formes : l’IPM au Maroc.
Ce panel a abordé la manière dont le gouvernement marocain met à jour son Indice de Pauvreté Multidimensionnelle (IPM) et comment cet IPM actualisé est utilisé pour l’élaboration de politiques, la planification et le ciblage à l’échelle nationale.

Programme d’Évaluation de l’Impact des Politiques Publiques Sociales (IES2P)
À travers le programme Impact Evaluation of Social Public Policies (IES2P), l’UM6P contribue activement à l’effort mondial pour mettre fin à la pauvreté et promouvoir la justice sociale. Hébergé par l’Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS) au sein de la Faculté de Gouvernance, Économie et Sciences Sociales (FGSES) de l’UM6P, le programme IES2P mène des recherches de pointe qui informent les politiques de protection sociale tant nationales qu’internationales.
En partenariat avec des gouvernements, des organisations internationales et des institutions de recherche, l’UM6P fournit des analyses basées sur des preuves qui contribuent à l’élaboration et à l’évaluation de politiques publiques nationales et internationales, en particulier en Afrique. Le programme IES2P soutient le développement, le suivi et l’évaluation de politiques publiques visant à améliorer les conditions de vie des populations vulnérables.

Massarates Program:
As part of its commitment to advancing national development priorities at the territorial level, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) officially launched the Massarates Rhamna Program on May 2, 2024.
Developed in collaboration with the Province of Rhamna, the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT), the Fondation Ibn Rochd (FIRSI), and the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH); Morocco’s flagship framework to alleviate poverty and social exclusion, this program, structured around three pillars: skills development, entrepreneurship, and cooperative support, reflects a shared effort to translate national policy goals into local action and to strengthen livelihoods and economic inclusion in Rehamna region where UM6P is located.

UM6P's participation in policy making to end poverty regionally

UM6P Rebuild Initiative
UM6P actively contributes to policy making and programme implementation to end poverty through its Rebuild Initiative, a catalyst for innovation and collaboration that unites students, staff, partners, and institutions around the shared goal of sustainably rebuilding the Al Haouz region, where the university is located. In close coordination with government authorities, UM6P has leveraged its research and expertise across disciplines, such as architecture, agriculture, water, green energy, and socio-economic development, to inform recovery policies and design practical, resilient solutions for affected communities. Through this collaborative, research-based approach, more than 60 initiatives have been implemented across 150 villages, reaching over 90,000 beneficiaries and engaging 400 students and 35 research departments. By aligning academic innovation with community needs, UM6P’s Rebuild Initiative exemplifies how universities can play a pivotal role in shaping inclusive regional policies that reduce poverty and foster sustainable development.

Policies against poverty in all its forms - The MPI in Morocco:
On 4 July 2024, the Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS) within UM6P’s Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences (FGSES) together with the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) organized a policy panel entitled “Policies against poverty in all its forms: the MPI in Morocco”.
This panel addressed how the Moroccan government is updating its Multidimensional Poverty Index(MPI) and how that updated MPI is being used for policymaking, planning, and targeting at national scale.

Impact Evaluation of Social Public Policies (IES2P) program:
Through the Impact Evaluation of Social Public Policies (IES2P) program, UM6P actively contributes to the global effort to end poverty and promote social justice. Hosted by the Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS) within UM6P’s Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences (FGSES), the IES2P program conducts cutting-edge research that informs both national and international social protection policies.
In partnership with governments, international organizations, and research institutions, UM6P provides evidence-based insights that contribute to the elaboration and the evaluation of national and international public policies, especially in Africa. The IES2P program supports the development, monitoring, and evaluation of public policies that aim to improve living conditions for vulnerable populations.
